Quick Start - Up Close...
Here's an overview of what our Quick Start programmes look like, for each step or phase of your learning journey.
Step 1
PRE-WORK
Before attending the IE Quick Start class, participants use a secure Innovation Engineering portal to complete a half day of private study comprising about 33 short digital classes. Each digital class contains a video explaining the concept of a skill followed by a short quiz. In this way leaners become familiar with the fundamentals of how to create, communicate, and commercialise meaningfully unique solutions to innovation or business improvement challenges.
Step 2
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM SESSIONS
Participants join fellow learners for 7x flexible sessions of approximately 2.5 hours each. Public quick start modules are run weekly; private courses can be adapted to suit the client's schedule. This is live, participative learning, facilitated remotely by our expert team. Students enjoy a hands-on, interactive experience to help them learn how to apply the skills introduced in the pre-work. They work in small virtual breakout teams that constantly change throughout the course. Our coaches will guide their work while students get live feedback from online instructors, who grade their submissions and help to deepen the learning process.
Step 3
BACK AT WORK CERTIFICATION
During the final stages of Step 2 participants get support for planning how to translate all they have experienced back into the workplace, in order to embed their learning. This is facilitated by a collection of online assignments which will be completed using real work situations. The goal for this stage is to integrate their learning into the student's day job. This will immediately help them work smarter, problem solving better, and help grow an innovation culture in the organisation.
Back at work, students continue to receive expert remote coaching, either individually or as a group. They also continue to have access for a further 90 days after the last formal session.
Once all assignments are completed successfully participants will be awarded a Blue Belt certificate in Innovation Engineering.
